How to Earn Raffle Tickets

DEX Buy Route

To earn raffle tickets, you must buy $MESSY on a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) on Base. Only DEX buys count. Centralized exchange (CEX) buys, OTC transactions, and wallet transfers do not generate tickets.

Minimum per transaction:

Each individual DEX buy transaction must be worth at least $100 USD in $MESSY to generate tickets. Buys of $100 or less generate zero tickets.

Ticket formula (per transaction):

For each qualifying DEX buy transaction:

  • If buy_usd ≤ 100 → 0 tickets
  • If buy_usd > 100 → tickets = buy_usd − 100

Examples:

  • Buy $350 → 250 tickets
  • Buy $120 → 20 tickets
  • Buy $90 → 0 tickets

Unlimited qualified buys per wallet:

A single wallet can make unlimited qualifying DEX buys above $100 during the campaign. Each qualifying transaction generates its own ticket bucket. There is no cap on the number of qualifying buys a wallet can make.

Net new MESSY:

We look at all your on-chain DEX buy transactions for $MESSY on Base during May 1–31, 2026. If you sell $MESSY during that period, the tickets for the "sold" portion may be reduced accordingly. Only net new $MESSY that remains in your wallet generates full tickets.

Free Entry Route (Postcard)

You can participate for free without making any DEX buy.

  1. Write your wallet address and (optionally) your name and/or email on a postcard
  2. Mail it to:

Postcard entries receive 10 free raffle tickets.

Both entry routes (DEX Buy and Postcard) are treated equally for the raffle draw — the winning chances are identical.

Eligibility Requirements

To remain eligible for the raffle, a wallet must satisfy both conditions below at the June 15, 2026 snapshot.

80% Hold Requirement

Each wallet's peak MESSY balance during May 1–31, 2026 is recorded.

At the June 15, 2026 snapshot, that wallet must still hold at least 80% of its peak MESSY balance.

Example: If your highest balance in May was 10,000 MESSY, you must hold at least 8,000 MESSY at the June 15 snapshot.

If the balance falls below 80% of that peak, the wallet is disqualified from the raffle.

Net Buyer Requirement

A wallet must be a net buyer of $MESSY during the campaign period (May 1–31).

  • Your total DEX buys of $MESSY in May must be greater than or equal to your total $MESSY sells and transfers out during the same period.
  • If you sell or transfer out more $MESSY than you buy → you are not eligible, regardless of tickets earned.

6th–25th place 50,000 $MESSY each

Draw Mechanism

  • 25 winners drawn randomly, weighted by ticket count
  • More tickets = higher chance of winning
  • Only wallets that satisfy both eligibility requirements at the June 15 snapshot are included
  • The draw method will be publicly disclosed (e.g., on-chain randomness via a verifiable source)
  • Winning wallet addresses published on our website and social channels

Prize Distribution

  • Prizes sent on-chain to winning wallets within 30 days of the draw (by July 15, 2026)
  • Messy Virgo DAO reserves the right to delay distribution in case of technical, legal, or regulatory issues beyond its control

Loyalty Tiers: May 2026 Holder Cohorts

The June 15, 2026 snapshot is also used to assign a Loyalty Tier badge to every qualifying wallet.

Silver – May 2026 Holder Net new $MESSY held: $500–$1,999 USD On-chain "Silver" badge
Gold – May 2026 Holder Net new $MESSY held: $2,000+ USD On-chain "Gold" badge

Badges may grant:

  • Ticket multipliers or extra allocation in future raffles
  • Extra allocation in future loyalty drops
  • Access-gated features (early access to tools, private calls, etc.)

May 2026 is Cohort 1.

Exclusions

The following are not eligible to participate:

  • Employees, co-founders, contractors, or agents of Messy Virgo DAO and their immediate family members (for raffle prizes only)
  • U.S. persons — residents, citizens, or entities organized under U.S. law
  • Sanctioned individuals or entities — OFAC, UN, EU, or Swiss SECO
  • Residents of crypto-banned jurisdictions
  • EU/EEA residents — does not target EU users; participation is via reverse solicitation only; participants from EU/EEA are solely responsible for their own MiCA compliance
  • Under 18 — must be 18 or older
  • Any wallet engaging in wash-trading, sybil attacks, or manipulation (at sole discretion of Messy Virgo DAO)

Taxes

For winners: Prizes are considered income in many jurisdictions, including Switzerland. The market value of $MESSY at the time of distribution is generally taxable. We are not responsible for your tax obligations. Consult a qualified tax professional.

For Messy Virgo DAO: MESSY is a payment token under Swiss tax law. No withholding tax or stamp duties apply to prize distribution.

Data Protection

By participating, you consent to the processing of your wallet address and (if provided) your name/email for eligibility determination, ticket calculation, draw execution, prize distribution, and badge issuance. We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except as required by law or for essential campaign functions.

No Liability

  • We do not guarantee any particular prize outcome for any participant
  • Messy Virgo DAO is not responsible for technical failures, blockchain issues, DEX outages, or other technical problems
  • Messy Virgo DAO is not responsible for the market price of $MESSY — prizes are in $MESSY, not USD
  • $MESSY is a cryptocurrency carrying significant market risk

Changes and Termination

Messy Virgo DAO reserves the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or terminate this raffle at any time if required by law, regulatory requirements, or circumstances beyond its control.
  • Cancel this raffle if fewer than 10 unique eligible wallets qualify for the draw at the June 15, 2026 snapshot. In case of cancellation, all eligible participants will receive a "May 2026 Early Supporter" on-chain badge as recognition, and Messy Virgo DAO will publish a public announcement explaining the decision.
  • Disqualify any participant found to be in violation of these rules at any point.

Any material changes to the rules will be communicated publicly on our official channels and updated on this page.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zürich, Switzerland, unless mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.

Messy Virgo DAO reserves the right to amend these terms at any time, with amendments effective upon publication.
