Governance decides

Vesting controls timing
Each allocation bucket follows a published unlock schedule. Transfers from the Safe wallets remain subject to the same 1.25% reflection tax.
Safe Wallet Custody
The creator-side allocation was split from a single externally owned address into public Safe smart wallets on Base. These Safes hold the published team, contributor, liquidity, community, and treasury buckets for verifiable, on-chain custody.
We use Safe smart wallets instead of a standard third-party locker because $MESSY includes a 1.25% reflection mechanic. Traditional lockers can be incompatible with automatically changing token balances or can mishandle reflection-taxed transfers. Safe custody keeps the allocation buckets public and verifiable while preserving the token's normal transfer rules.
All transfers from these Safes remain subject to the same 1.25% reflection tax applied to regular transfers. Movements are documented in the monthly State of the Treasury updates below.
