Messy Fund Update
Latest update
Fund / Signal update · 5 September 2026 · vnext-2026-07-24
Weekly workflow proof for Messy-managed micro test funds on Base: Guru Lotus books base04, base05, and base06, plus Lagoon books lg-base01 and lg-base02. Screening prepares evidence; the Chair decides; the system records the resolution; only then can execution mutate the book. Macro and narrative below are the postures those sessions used, not a live market refresh at publish time.
Custody / provider
This week's public micro books use two Base custody adapters. base04, base05, and base06 sit on Guru Lotus vaults. Messy's engine runs research, council decisioning, and trade construction; capital on those books sits in Guru's vault contracts. On the Guru books, the trading key can trade but cannot withdraw, a limit enforced by the vault contracts, not our software. lg-base01 and lg-base02 sit on Lagoon vaults for custody and share accounting. Provider-side contract failure is venue risk on either adapter. Keys live in Turnkey; our backend never holds key material.

This week at a glance
- 40 council sessions across 5 micro funds — 27 executed.
- Week regime path: Risk-on (R+) all week — Effective macro regime is R+ with fresh coverage and 80% confidence.
- Narrative tape (session-frozen): Across 16 active narrative(s), 30d momentum vs TOTAL3ES ranges from Privacy Coins at +67.3pp to Gaming (GameFi) at -26.4pp.
- base05 NAV $45.89 (-5.8% 7d, 5 exec / 0 hold).
- base06 NAV $31.49 (+5.7% 7d, 5 exec / 0 hold).
- WOON led aggregate screens this week — a candidate signal, not an automatic trade.
Across the councils
- Fresh-only candidates were added cautiously (small size, watch for aggregate confirmation) rather than as full slate replacements. (base04, base05, base06; 3 funds).
What's new in the app
- The public suite is still five micro books: Guru Lotus base04, base05, and base06, plus Lagoon lg-base01 and lg-base02. Closed verification books base01 and base02 stay off this page. The marketing site now lists only the same current books as app.messyvirgo.com/funds. Screens still stop at ideas: council and execution decide size, venue, and fills.

base04 — council & book
The rebalance executed and reconciled: peezy was added while keycat and tybg were trimmed, funding both the addition and a mandated increase in high beta from about 68.9% to 70% within a posture of roughly cash 12%, base 18%, high beta 70%.
Week strip: Mon exec · Tue exec · Wed exec · Thu exec · Fri exec · Sat exec · 7 sessions
Week net · Cash 13.2% → 12.4% · Base 14.7% → 17.6% · High-beta 72.1% → 70%
Tue exec Drb was increased last session (weth->drb); re-trimming it this session reverses a very recent action without a new adverse signal beyond one-session ATR/24h move, and pays execution friction twice.
Closing session
Cash 13.4% → 12.4% · Base 17.6% · High-beta 68.9% → 70%
Recommendation was projected onto the regime-band convergence step by validation.
- Top-1 position (tybg, 19.6% NAV) and top-3 concentration (47.3% NAV) remain elevated against an effective position count of 4.96; still inside the derived 4-10 breadth band but worth monitoring if a new add…
- Fresh screening this session produced mostly thin, single-source-only candidates (byte, neiro, nut, bobo, nogs, dogeverse) with degraded aggregate context; treat any addition from this set as fresh-only…
- DRB has aggregate rank 6 but was absent from the latest fresh run; if this repeats next session it should be weighed as a coverage concern rather than held on the current single-session sample.

base05 — council & book
The council's rebalance executed and reconciled: una was exited and the proceeds redeployed into boomer, while chad, riz, up, roost, and beni were held, all within an unchanged fund posture of roughly 12% cash, 18% base, and 70% high beta whose post-execution realized weights are not yet available.
Week strip: Mon exec · Tue session · Wed exec · Thu exec · Fri exec · Sat exec · 7 sessions
Week net · Cash 24% → 12.3% · Base 17.4% → 17.7% · High-beta 58.6% → 70%
Wed exec Cash reduction of -15.0pp is at the maximum single-session move allowed; further band compliance will require additional sessions.
Closing session
Cash 12.3% · Base 17.7% · High-beta 70%
No bucket movement is recommended because current allocation already satisfies the computed posture.
- una's exit proceeds are targeted by two competing redeployment proposals (boomer increase, clawnch new entry); only one can be funded from the single sell leg without exceeding sell-fundable capacity of $31.41.
- clawnch carries fresh-rank-3 status with no aggregate screening history — fresh-only evidence, size conservatively if added.
- riz shows a supportive +17.3% unrealized gain but a sharp -17.4% 24h move with no fresh-rank coverage; this is a timing caution flagged by macro_tactical_pm, not an exit trigger on its own.

base06 — council & book
The MFV-BASE06 rebalance executed and reconciled, mutating the fund.
Week strip: Mon exec · Tue exec · Wed exec · Thu target · Fri exec · Sat exec · 8 sessions
Week net · Cash 13.2% → 11.7% · Base 16% → 16.4% · High-beta 70.8% → 71.9%
Tue exec Top-3 concentration remains 54.4% of NAV against a derived 4-10 breadth band and effective count of 4.42; this is a standing condition, not new, but continues to warrant breadth-additive action rather than…
Closing session
Cash 11.7% · Base 16.4% · High-beta 71.9%
No bucket movement is recommended because current allocation already satisfies the computed posture.
- zro (token 9318) and tibbir (token 9444) are sub-minimum-value dust positions ($0.41/$0.27) with coverage gaps (zro absent from both fresh/agg screens; tibbir absent from fresh) — closing either is…
- taot and drv are fresh-only single-source candidates with zero aggregate history; size small if added, consistent with unconfirmed-evidence guidance.
- zen 24h move +22.9% and RSI 81.4 reflect one session of overbought/divergent signal (fresh rank 2 vs agg rank 8) — supports a trim rationale but is not itself sufficient grounds for a larger reduction absent…

lg-base01 — council & book
The council's rebalance executed and reconciled, actually mutating the fund's holdings.
Week strip: Mon exec · Tue exec · Wed exec · Thu exec · Fri exec · Sat exec · 9 sessions
Week net · Cash 16% → 12% · Base 17.1% → 18% · High-beta 66.9% → 70%
Tue exec Beta position count (4) sits at the floor of the derived 4-10 breadth band; further concentration without breadth-building action recurs as a standing risk each session it persists.
Closing session
Cash 16% → 12% · Base 18% · High-beta 66% → 70%
Recommendation was projected onto the regime-band convergence step by validation.
- Deployable capacity is only $2.11 with 2 unfunded new-entry slots; multiple new adds (props, zora, slc) cannot all be funded without a same-sleeve sell that meets minimum trade size.
- WOON exit cost is 107bps and liquidity is thin ($407.4k global); any material trim should be sized conservatively against slippage.
- PROPS liquidity is very thin ($20.7k global, $6.5k vol24h); adding here at scale risks material slippage despite low quoted round-trip.

lg-base02 — council & book
The council's rebalance executed and reconciled, rotating spark out of the sleeve to fund a cautious new zora entry while raising high beta toward a ratified 70% target; realized post-execution bucket weights are not yet available, so the achieved posture cannot yet be confirmed against that target.
Week strip: Mon session · Tue exec · Wed exec · Thu exec · Fri exec · Sat exec · 9 sessions
Week net · Cash 13.2% → 11.8% · Base 16.2% → 18.2% · High-beta 70.6% → 70%
Tue exec Altt's 135bps exit cost and $360.8k global liquidity mean a full exit versus a partial reduce materially changes realized slippage; size the trim to sell-fundable capacity ($37.49) rather than a full…
Closing session
Cash 14.4% → 11.8% · Base 18.2% · High-beta 67.4% → 70%
Recommendation was projected onto the regime-band convergence step by validation.
- Capacity is thin: deployable $1.36, sell-funded $35.75, max 1 new entry — limits this session to a single funded rotation, not a broader reshuffle.
- Sleeve has 6 active members; any full exit must land freed weight on a remaining member, a ratified addition, or a required-exit tranche.
- NPC concentration (22.6% top-1, 48.7% top-3) was flagged by the risk manager and by two PM seats as exceeding what the sleeve's breadth band supports, but I judged the underlying evidence too strong to trim…
