Weekly workflow proof for Guru micro test funds on Base (base01, base02, base04, base05, base06). Screening prepares evidence; the Chair decides; the system records the resolution; only then can execution mutate the book. Macro and narrative below are the postures those sessions used, not a live market refresh at publish time.

Custody / provider

These Messy-managed books use the Guru Lotus vault adapter on Base for custody and share accounting. Messy’s engine runs research, council decisioning, and trade construction; capital sits in Guru’s vault contracts. Our trading key can trade but cannot withdraw, a limit enforced by the vault contracts, not our software. Provider-side contract failure is venue risk. Keys live in Turnkey; our backend never holds key material.

For the blast-radius map (engine vs custody vs token), see Custody Broke. The Engine Didn’t..

This week at a glance

  • 39 council sessions across 5 micro funds — 19 executed, 1 hold.
  • Week regime path: Neutral (N) → Risk-off (R-) — Macro evidence points to a deteriorating, risk-off leaning environment with fresh but mixed underlying data, supporting a measured, capped shift toward more defensive positioning.
  • Narrative tape (session-frozen): Across 16 active narrative(s), 30d momentum vs TOTAL3ES ranges from SocialFi at +44.9pp to DeFAI at -44.2pp.
  • base02 NAV $41.4 (-10.8% 7d, 4 exec / 1 hold).
  • base05 NAV $45.71 (-3.4% 7d, 4 exec / 0 hold).
  • 1INCH led aggregate screens this week — a candidate signal, not an automatic trade.

Across the councils

  • Posture moves stayed partial — Chairs sized with cautious conviction rather than jumping fully to target bucket midpoints. (base01, base02, base04; 3 funds).
  • Several Chairs flagged soft narrative tape — a large share of beta book value sat in narratives with negative 30d momentum vs TOTAL3ES. (base02, base05; 2 funds).

What's new in the app

  • Fund pages in the app now include full council minutes — open any fund and tap Council to read what the portfolio committee debated, what the Chair decided, and whether trades were executed. How the AI investment council works →
  • We publish five Guru micro test funds (base01, base02, base04, base05, base06). base04 and base05 joined on 10 July; base06 began council meetings in the week of 1 August. Every change on those test funds goes through screening, council review, and signed execution — the same path future AI-managed funds will use.

Cash 33.6% · Base 20.6% → 25.6% · High-beta 45.8% → 40.8%

  • Tlos concentration at 21.4% NAV / ~46.7% of sleeve book is elevated but supported by strong dual-window rank; a partial trim to fund the base raise is proportionate to concentration risk without disputing…
  • Zero unfunded new-entry capacity means any addition (e.g., mrdn) must be strictly sell-funded and sized modestly; do not let rotation sizing exceed what the funding leg raises.
  • MRDN's single-run fresh rank 1 has no aggregate history; hold off on any addition until it shows durability across runs.

Closing session

Cash 23% → 18.2% · Base 19.4% → 19.7% · High-beta 57.6% → 62.1%

  • Wallet is 30.8% NAV concentration with no executable price and 2639bps exit cost — cannot be sized down via ordinary rebalancing, only via ratified required exit.
  • Unibtc similarly lacks a trusted chain-local price and requires a ratified required exit rather than discretionary trims.

The council's rebalance executed and reconciled, holding jarvis, trimming dickbutt, and trimming swarm inside a locked posture that moved cash from about 42% to about 37% and base from about 23% to about 28%, with high beta essentially flat near 35%; realized post-execution weights are not yet available, and a small residual of about $0.01 remains from an asymmetric pairing.

Week net · Cash 100% → 47.9% · Base 0% → 38.1% · High-beta 0% → 14%

Tue exec 100% of beta book value (by primary narrative) sits in narratives with negative 30d momentum vs TOTAL3ES; the incoming 1inch add continues this concentration rather than diversifying away from it.

Closing session

Cash 51.3% → 47.9% · Base 39.7% → 38.1% · High-beta 9% → 14%

Analyst recommendation exceeded session movement limits and was clamped by validation.

  • Executable new-entry capacity is capped at 1 position this session; adding both 1inch and omi as proposed by trend_momentum_pm exceeds funded capacity absent a further reduction.
  • Kaito shows fresh/aggregate rank divergence and multi-metric score decay (RelStr -8, Mom/Vol -3, Social -3), consistent with a momentum-breakdown thesis rather than a data glitch.
  • Sleeve has only one active member; any reduction of kaito requires a named destination (a ratified addition) since no other member can absorb freed weight.

What this teaches the future Fund Agent

1
Macro gates exposure. Use the session-frozen regime the council actually saw (this week: Risk-off (R-)) — not a later live refresh.
2
Daily screen ≠ automatic trade. Aggregate leaders inform the slate; they do not bypass Chair decision or execution gates.
3
Chair decides, system records. Seats analyze and propose; the Chair adjudicates; minutes and execution receipts stay public on each fund’s Council tab.
