Messy Fund Update

Latest update

Fund / Signal update · 10 October 2026 · vnext-2026-07-24

Weekly workflow proof for Messy-managed micro test funds on Base and Robinhood Chain: Guru Lotus books base04, base05, and base06, plus Lagoon books lg-base00, lg-base01, lg-base02, and safe-lg-rh01. Screening prepares evidence; the Chair decides; the system records the resolution; only then can execution mutate the book. Macro and narrative below are the postures those sessions used, not a live market refresh at publish time.

Custody / provider

This week's public micro books use Guru Lotus and Lagoon custody adapters. base04, base05, and base06 sit on Guru Lotus vaults on Base. Messy's engine runs research, council decisioning, and trade construction; capital on those books sits in Guru's vault contracts. On the Guru books, the trading key can trade but cannot withdraw, a limit enforced by the vault contracts, not our software. lg-base00, lg-base01, and lg-base02 sit on Lagoon vaults on Base. safe-lg-rh01 sits on a Lagoon vault on Robinhood Chain. Provider-side contract failure is venue risk on either adapter. Keys live in Turnkey; our backend never holds key material.

For the blast-radius map (engine vs custody vs token), see Custody Broke. The Engine Didn’t..

This week at a glance

  • 36 council sessions across 7 micro funds — 23 executed, 6 holds.
  • Week regime path: Risk-on (R+) → Neutral (N) — Effective macro regime is N with fresh coverage and 80% confidence.
  • Narrative tape (session-frozen): Across 17 active narrative(s), 30d momentum vs TOTAL3ES ranges from DePIN at +21.5pp to Meme at -9.4pp.
  • safe-lg-rh01 NAV $40.12 (-18.4% 7d, 5 exec / 0 hold).
  • lg-base00 NAV $52.21 (-6.9% 7d, 5 exec / 0 hold).
  • OMI led aggregate screens this week — a candidate signal, not an automatic trade.

Across the councils

  • Posture moves stayed partial — Chairs sized with cautious conviction rather than jumping fully to target bucket midpoints. (base04, base05, lg-base02, safe-lg-rh01; 4 funds).
  • Several Chairs flagged soft narrative tape — a large share of beta book value sat in narratives with negative 30d momentum vs TOTAL3ES. (base04, base05, safe-lg-rh01; 3 funds).

Closing session

Recommendation was projected onto the regime-band convergence step by validation.

Closing session

Cash 15.4% · Base 18.3% · High-beta 66.3%

No bucket movement is recommended because current allocation already satisfies the computed posture.

  • vvv deterioration is one session old; a partial reduce on a sample-sized signal pays friction without meeting the sustained-deterioration bar — if trimmed, keep it staged and small
  • Both candidates (aleph 10589, copi 219) carry round-trip costs above 1100 bps at notional; entering either is a net loss before market movement

Recommendation was projected onto the regime-band convergence step by validation.

What this teaches the future Fund Agent

1
Macro gates exposure. Use the session-frozen regime the council actually saw (this week: Neutral (N)) — not a later live refresh.
2
Daily screen ≠ automatic trade. Aggregate leaders inform the slate; they do not bypass Chair decision or execution gates.
3
Chair decides, system records. Seats analyze and propose; the Chair adjudicates; minutes and execution receipts stay public on each fund’s Council tab.
